Working on '21 taxes, app shut down but it nor return will open. A msg "please wait" shows up, with nothing else. Do I reinstall, but lose everything? (I DID save.)

Do I have to delete the app and start over?  It is from the CD.  I am angry and frustrated!!

Deleting and reinstalling will not affect the data files.

Not helpful- I am on a Mac with the latest software.  I have shut down. I have deleted and reinstalled the App.  I have tried both the CD and the online download.Nothing reopens when I click on it! I am SOOOO frustrated! I have used this program for years with no issues, but this is bad!
