Working as an independent contractor when I was hit in the face with Acid and was unable to work the remaining 3 months of 2017. Can I claim the 3 months loss of income?

That's horrible. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, no, the IRS does not allow you to deduct income/wages you didn't earn or could have earned. You just pay less taxes since you didn't have earnings the last three months of 2017.

That's horrible. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Unfortunately, no, the IRS does not allow you to deduct income/wages you didn't earn or could have earned. You just pay less taxes since you didn't have earnings the last three months of 2017.
