Won't Transfer my 2024 return even though I have the file in the correct format

I have the correct file, Turbo tax won't transfer it

Weird. I've done this every year for ages. The prior year tax return is listed on my desktop computer in a folder called TURBOTAX. I see 1040s going back to 2021, which is when I bought this computer. The 2025 1040 that I'm working on is listed in the same folder. When I first opened it a few weeks ago, TTax looked only for the 2024 file and transferred the data immediately.

To be on the safe side, I keep the TTax software on my computer for three years in case I have to file an amended 1040.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, search your computer for a .tax2024 file when starting a 2025 return to transfer into your new return.
