Reject code TY25_WI_Retirement_TT: Your Wisconsin tax return has not been e-filed successfully due to changes related to Wisconsin's retirement income.

If this was filed before the update was applied, please go back to TurboTax and re-file the return and it should go through.  If it does not, please contact us again.  Thanks.

Same thing happened to me. TT said it would be updated 2/13/26 and I could resubmit then. I resubmitted and it was rejected again. So frustrating! How many times will they allow it to be rejected?

Still happening, it says I can’t go paper because I took my TurboTax cost out of my refund which was done in Federal and nothing should come out of State is that correct?

Update applied on 2/13 and resubmitted. Still rejected. Please fix the efile for Wisconsin.

There was an update due to a recent change to Wisconsin's retirement income rules. This update was available on February 13, 2026.

Please log in on or after that date and resubmit your return. (Online versions update automatically.)

1. If you have no retirement income OR all of your retirement income is from qualified plans -- like a 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or government pension -- you can simply review and resubmit. Most workplace retirement plans are qualified. 2. If you have retirement income from a non-qualified plan (uncommon), go to Retirement Benefits Adjustments and follow the steps to update your amounts before re-submitting.
