Will the rejected states that I thought I had to file in, will they keep me from getting my return. When I click “Fix my return” it just says everything is fine.

Can you clarify if you were required to file multiple states?  Which errors are you getting?  @zkhall1526

I worked in multiple states. Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. So I assumed I would have to file in each state that I worked in. So, when starting to fill out my taxes. Is asks you at the very beginning (before adding your W2) what states you need to file in. So I selected all the states that I worked in, and continued. Once I was following the steps and filling out the information from my W2 in each state, I noticed there is only information for Oregon and Washington. But I assumed that I still had to file in those states somewhat, since I did work there.  (Note that I did live in Oregon the first half or so of the year, and moved to Washington. So when I efiled, it was rejected in minutes. So when “fixing” my taxes, I was pretty much just not filing the other states such as Idaho and Montana. But TurboTax still says there is an issue and I need to “Fix my return.” But no matter how many times I click it, it just loads, and says I’m okay and I have filed and been accepted. But obviously the other states still say rejected and won’t go away. And the button to fix it, is always there and never goes away.

So, what I am asking. Is that, will the rejected states (that I’m now, NOT trying to file in) mess up my return. Because there is nothing I can do from my side.

NOTE: This is all one employer, and traveling and staying in Hotels.

If you were not required to file in states and those returns were REJECTED, it WILL NOT hold up or affect your federal or other state refunds.  If you found out you did not have to file those states, you can either go back in to TurboTax and delete them from your return (How do I delete my state return in TurboTax Online?), or just do not refile. @zkhall1526
