Do you know why it's being rejected? Please advise.
If I did I would've solved this by now.... in my tax returns from 2017 I did get them back in 2018... but now 2019 & 2020 won't give me back my state tax at all and I have 0 errors with any of my information... I've submitted it so many times but to no avail they just keep auto rejecting me and I can't talk to someone because I would have to pay for it... im broke... I really need my money... I'm freaking out crying alot every day not knowing why as I'm helpless to this
Here is a TurboTax Help article regarding Illinois efile rejections related to signature requirements: Illinois Efile Rejections If this is the rejection that you are receiving, please see the "Try this First" section of this article.
If your rejection is for another reason, and you are unable to efile (your return has been rejected more than two times) I recommend that you mail your return.
The Help article above regarding the E-file rejections will also help you in printing and mailing your tax return if you are unable to fix the efile rejection.
Here's how you can fix it:
Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button. Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.
Note: Not all rejections will have explicit guides to fix the information. You’ll need to navigate to the program area to address the cause of the rejection.
Time-saving Tip: If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.
