Why not file the extension online through TurboTax?
Please see this TurboTax FAQ on how to file an extension.
I was in the process of doing that, but stopped when I got to the part of the process where my options were to pay by bank account or by check. That's what prompted my question, since I've paid already, I didn't want to mistakenly set up another automatic withdraw from my account.
If you have already paid, when you file your extension indicate that your balance due (currently, with the extension) is $0.
Thank you!
If your return is REJECTED on or just before Tax Day.
IRS gives you a few days to
a) correct the rejection and e-File again, OR
b) get your paper return postmarked at the Post Office.
You don't need an extension.
