Why wont my second w-2 from the same company out of state upload, saying the tax year doesnt match up?

I have a W-2 from out of state working for the same company in April. It will not accept that W-2 stating the tax year does not match. However, my in state W-2 for that company had no issue uploading.

If you are having trouble importing the W-2, it would only take a couple of minutes to key it in by hand instead of fighting the technology.

Are you sure that's not just one W-2, with two lines for boxes 15, 16 & 17 being different?

Certain it might be two entirely different W-2 forms, in certain situations (Different franchisees, or some rare separate divisions)

....but if box 1 is the same gross total, then it's likely just one W-2 with extra sub-copies for each state.  In that case, in the software, you are supposed have a single W-2 form, but enter two lines for boxes 15, 16 & 17......one line for each state.
