If you owe tax, TurboTax will print estimated tax vouchers for next year for you to use if you want to pay in installments so you not owe tax at the end of next year. Estimated tax is prepaying next years tax, not this year.
That is optional and not required. If you do not want to pay that way just ignore the estimated tax vouchers.

It has never done this before; I get one voucher for the current year. I got the four vouchers but NOT the single voucher with the total. Where is it????
Form 1040-V is used to pay a current balance due. If you cannot find one printed with your return, you can use the link below.
If you owe more than $1,000 in balance due, you will have to make estimated tax payments quarterly. These payment vouchers may also have appeared with your return.
So are the prepayment vouchers required or optional? I'm seeing contradictory answers here from different people...just want to confirm...thanks.
The tax payment voucher is for taxes due now. Your taxes can also be paid online at Payments.
The IRS does not want you to owe more than $1,000. You should withhold more money or pay estimated taxes in order to not have a large tax bill with penalties. The vouchers for estimates will print with your return. They are just a suggestion.
