Why was my NYS tax refund accepted and now is under review. What would this mean.

NYS decided that it needed to review your return for a reason. It can happen, and not a cause to panic. If there are any differences from last years return to this years return NYS will pull your return for review. If they do find they need more information or clarification on your return, they will send you a letter. If you do get a letter, make sure you respond to them and provide them the information they are requesting.
