TurboTax has increased the price of a state e-filing fee.  This happens each year, typically in March.  I agree with you that a printed price (as you've said is printed on your software box) should not change.  I'm told that all TurboTax prices are subject to change at any time and without notice.

You can always avoid the state e-filing fee by printing and filing your state return(s) by mail.
