Why was an extra $39.99 charge applied to my Federal tax return? My return is $1331. The total TurboTax charges were $113.97. But only $1177.04 was added to my bank.

If you elected to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, there is a fee of 39.99 that is charged by the refund processing company, which would make your total 153.96.
