Why was $1800.00 added o my refund?

Was this a scam. My refund should only be $1540.00

Did you actually get a deposit in your account for $1800, and from whom?  Maybe it is Stimulus #3.   If the IRS changed something, they will be mailing you a letter. They do not notify TT.

This $1800.00 was not deposited in my bank account.  It was added to my return by TT after IRS rejected the

first submitted return. It was on the second submitted return by TT.

$1800 sounds like the stimulus - $1200 for the first stimulus and $600 for the 2nd stimulus.

how much did you originally get in stimulus? did you enter those two amounts in TT before completing your return?
