Why TurboTax charges me $44.99 instead of $39.99 for NY State tax return?

The current fee is $44.99. Please see the attached screenshot. You can also see the fee by going to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/premier.jsp and clicking below the federal price where it says "state additional".

Such a modest 12.50% increase! I wish my pension or salaries go up with such speed... The only thing, they forgot to adjust their application accordingly - the very first page going to NY State return still say it will cost $39.99. You will see new price of $44.99 only when you presented with final Fed+State filing charge. That's why I was surprised... Probably, it is time to shop around a little bit.. Thanks for your reply. Respect
