Why my state income tax is not added to my state deductions but shows on my federal deductions.
State taxes paid are an actual Credit on your state taxes....that is a far better than a deduction.
But that is correct, your state taxes paid to your own state are never a state income deduction.....that's normal for all incoem-taxing states.
