Why my fed due tax is still showing in process. Though it is April 16th . Will I get penalty for this ?

If your tax return as already been received by the IRS and they are processing it, then you filed on time.

If your return is in process on TurboTax, it is not yet filed.  However, you only owe a penalty for late filing if you owe tax.  If you are due a refund, there is no penalty.
