Why isn't it showing my tax liability across the top of the screen?

Click the < or > and see if the refund monitor appears.

If you don't see the > symbol at the top left, do you have "RaceMode" at the top where the refund monitor should be? Click the toggle next to RaceMode, or click Review on the right, to get rid of RaceMode and see the refund monitor.
