Why is Turbo Tax charging me for software I purchased from Amazon?

Did you buy the Desktop program or buy a code to use for the Online version.  If you bought the Desktop porgram did you install it and activate it with the 16 digit License Code?  How much is it charging you?  In the Desktop program there is a $25 fee to efile a state return or you can print and mail state for free.

Or you accidentally got into the Online version instead of the Desktop program you bought.  That is common.    We can tell you how to switch to your program and file without paying for Online.

I bought the online version. When I logged into Turbo Tax , I was never asked for the activation code. Probably too late now because I finished my taxes and e-filed yesterday.

It’s probably too late now but here is how it’s suppose to work for the Online version.   In case anyone else finds this thread.   Or it may help you figure it out.  What did you get charged for?   Was it for a state return?

How to use the Online License Code.  It is for federal only. State is additional.
