Why is there an added filing fee of $40.00

I am so confused. I purchased the product for $60.00 and now there is an e-filing fee of $40.00 that is charged by TurboTax on top of that initial purchase. Why was this not disclosed on the packaging?

The $40 is only if you want the $25 state efile fee deducted from your refund. You can avoid that by paying the state efile fee with a credit card or you can print and mail state for free. Go back through the File tab and watch what choices you make.
