No. All Turbo Tax returns are self prepared. Isn’t there a spot to write your signature? What state? Or are you filing it for someone else? Turbo Tax isn’t permitted to be used by tax preparers. But if you are just helping someone else it is still self prepared by them. What about the federal return. Do you have the same problem on federal?
By preparing your taxes using TurboTax, you are the preparer, and so the return is correctly designated as self-prepared. There is no way to remove this line, and doing so would cause your state return to have missing information.
Yes, I should have said it differently. In previous years the "self prepared" was not actually typed across the signature line. I am filing my return for Ohio. The federal return has the "self prepared" on the page below the signature lines. The Ohio state page has it literally on the primary signature line. Has anyone else seen this yet? It is possible to just sign over it? I am not doing an electronic filing. I am doing a paper filing.
Thanks for your input. I appreciate your perspective.

Thank you!
Why does turbo tax send the return in early and not wait until the irs opens?? That is the reason why so many people are in agony right now. People that filed early this year got screwed over big time. The IRS took it as a red flag. Never again.
This is the final time I will use turbo tax. I’ve been using them for 12 years and never again. I should not have to worrie every year of my 1040 is correct. I am paying TT for nothing pretty much. I will go to a certified accountant from now on.
