Why is my total wages and salary amount on the income summary page different than on the Here's a picture of your total income page?

The salary total is approximately $4k more than it should be

The Income Summary shows gross amounts you've entered and is not intended to match many other screens..  The only thing you need to be concerned with is what's on your return.  Click on the Forms icon on the upper right, then click on the 1040 to see what's on your return.  You may have Scholarship or other income in your wages line.
