Why is my state tax return saying ready to mail when I e-filed? Can I get this changed?

If the TurboTax website is showing the state tax return is "Ready to mail" it was not e-filed.

Once you're sure you E-filed the tax return, you can ignore that notice.

To check your tax refund status in TurboTax, 

1. Sign in to your account and 
2. Go to the "Tax Home" or "Order Details" screen 
3. It will tell you if your return was accepted.

If you want to know the status of your tax return,  you should use the 

IRS Where's My Refund website.

 You'll need

• Your Social Security or individual taxpayer ID number (ITIN)
• Your filing status
• The exact refund amount on your return
