Why is my 2024 estimated taxes paid included an additional taxes paid on 12/31/2024?

When you see your 2024 estimated taxes paid listed as additional taxes paid on 12/31/2024 in TurboTax, it reflects the last payment you made for the 2024 tax year. TurboTax records estimated tax payments by date, so the amount paid on December 31, 2024, is shown as the final estimated tax payment for that year.

This helps ensure your tax return accurately accounts for all estimated payments made during 2024 to reduce any tax owed or penalties.

If you entered estimated payments with a date of 12/31/2024, TurboTax will show those payments in the "Additional Taxes Paid" section accordingly.

I did not send in an estimated tax amount to the State shown in  my Turbo tax state income tax return, which the State indicated that they never received it. I accepted the estimated tax the State received. Is it possible that a spurious mistake accidentally appeared I did not catch at the final review?

Are saying that there is a payment appearing on 12/31/2024 which you did not make? Is this for your 2024 return or your 2025 return?

How do you know which payments the state received? Did you ask the state?

I don't think I understand your question. What does this mean "I accepted the estimated tax the State received." ?
