Why is last year's file not transferring? I navigate to my .tax2024 file and choose "Transfer" and nothing happens - why?

This is happening on the very first screen.

If you used TurboTax Online, and are starting a 2025 return with the same account, your 2024 file will import automatically.  

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, search your computer for a .tax2024 file when starting a 2025 return to transfer into your new return.

I'm on a Mac. Had the same issues. I closed TurboTax2025. Then, double-clicked the 2024 file, it showed a message that it needs to be transferred into TT2025, clicked Transfer. Done!
