Why is it that every time I attempt to use the free version Turbo tax keeps rerouting me to the paid versions? 80 dollars is the cheapest that's available.

When searching for the free version of Turbo Tax they simply explain what it is and the qualifications but when i click on the button to chose it it reroutes me to all of the expensive software choices.

Have you already started a Free version return?  Online is now closed to new returns.  You have to buy the Desktop CD/Download program now here,

The ONLINE free TT options have closed for 2021 so you are directed to a downloaded paid version.

Or go to the IRS Free File programs ... see if you qualify ...
