Why is it asking for a form 8959 if i didnt even make 10k this year?

I have the same question. It says I need to upgrade and I can't remove the form. It shouldn't apply to me.

Likely a bug. However, check what was entered for Medicare wages on your W-2.

If you imported it, something could have gone wrong. You can try removing this import and try again. Your other options 1)is to remove the import and enter manually 2) contact support bit I don't think it's free for the basic version. .

Having the same issue; it's driving me crazy. TurboTax needs to get with it.

Same issue here. All of the information in Box 5 and Box 6 is correct. This is either a glitch or an unethical way to trick people into upgrading unnecessarily.

Requiring Form 8959 when your income is below the threshold is a bug in TurboTax. TurboTax is aware of the problem and they are working on fixing it. There is no timetable for when it will be fixed.
