Why is it 69.98 for the total charge?! It says 29.99 for the state and free for the federal, especially with e-file.

There is an EXTRA 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge to have the fee deducted.  You can pay with a credit card to avoid the extra charge.  Go back through the File tab Nd watch the screens carefully.

Did you elect to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund by using the Refund Processing Service? If so, this will add an additional fee to your total amount.
