The IRS will hold all 2017 tax returns that have a tax refund which includes EIC and/or the Additional Child Tax Credit until mid-February. They will release the tax refunds in late February if there are no errors on the tax return.

........and we certainly hope and pray that you prepared your tax file in a completely separate tax account...with a separate UserID.
Maybe it's obvious to you (or not)..... but we get hundreds of people using the same Online account to file two tax returns every year...not realizing that they've overwritten the original file.
IF you logged out of "his" account, and created a separate UserID/Password for yours, you should be OK.
His forms were ready to go ... yours are not. That option will not be available for you until you are able to efile ... click on the REVIEW tab to see what forms are holding you up and when they are expected to be ready to go.
