Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

Why does turbotax say that I did not successfully efile my 2019 taxes with them? I used the same account to file my 2019 taxes. I even received my tax refund.

I have my 2019 completed return and even received my tax refund for 2019

I assume you are referring to an online 2019 return.  Any return prepared in desktop software (CD/download) will not be in an online account.

Log in to your account.  At the Tax Home, scroll down to the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents."  Expand that section and choose tax year 2019.   Is there evidence of the 2019 return, and if so, what does it say about your online 2019 return--which of these terms:  accepted, rejected, printed, started, or what?

If you don't find your completed 2019 return as filed in that section, then you may have multiple accounts even if you think you don't.   We can tell you more when you answer my question above.

Hi, thank you so much.  I noticed that I did file my 2019 taxes under a different account (old email). What I find strange is that I am able to access my 2019 return on my current account (new email) .  I believed I had updated the account but somehow created a new one.

Or did you just change the User ID?

One can have up to 5 accounts that use the same email address for notification purposes, but each User ID has to be unique.    A User ID is commonly an email address, but doesn't have to be.  It can be part of an email address or anything at all.

I'm not sure what all you did when you updated something, but it's possible to change a User ID and the notification email address independently in the Intuit Account settings.  You may wish to review all your info and settings in your Intuit Account to be sure everything is like you want there.   When you log into TurboTax, in the left menu column near the bottom you will see the "Intuit Account" tab.

In any case, the important part is that you see the 2019 return in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents", and that it is the completed return as filed.   If you efiled, it should say accepted.   Some people with multiple accounts started 2019 returns in more than one account, and later signed into the account with the unfinished 2019 return instead of the correct account with the finished return.
