TurboTax may be saying you did not file last year using TurboTax because:
- You might have used a different username, email, or Google/Apple sign-in than the one you are currently using.
- It could also be that your return was prepared but not fully submitted. You may have stopped at the "Review" stage rather than "Transmit".
- You may have used the online version, but are now looking for your data in the desktop program, or vice versa.
- If you have multiple emails, use How can I view all my TurboTax accounts? to find all accounts associated with your personal information.
If you used TurboTax Desktop, and are trying to upload your .tax2024 file to TurboTax Online for 2025, please see: How to Transfer Last Year's Return to TurboTax Online.
To verify that you filed your tax return for 2024, you can use your IRS.gov Online Account to view your tax transcripts. You can use this link to sign into or create an online account Online account for individuals.
