Schwab has posted the 1099s (DIV,INT) today Feb 14. I downloaded mine. When I try to import it into turbotax, it comes up with an error stating that the forms are not yet ready to download until Feb 16th. While I understand that I could wait 2 days, why cant turbotax simply allow me to override their restriction and check instead of forcing me to wait?

Yes, I get the same message trying to import from Schwab, although I was able to import from Fidelity with no issue. TurboTax can't simply 'override' Schwab's restriction, unfortunately.
Since you have downloaded copies of your 1099-INT and 1099-DIV, you could enter them manually if you wished.
Yes, of course I can enter manually. But it defeats the supposed ease of using Turbotax. Why do they provide a capability and then prevent/make it difficult to use? Why does Turbotax not allow override of the unneccesary restriction? They can also make it difficult to efile and force you to file a paper copy! Its silly and irritating to pay for a capability that Turbotax doesnt allow you to use. Thanks for your comment.
