Why does turbo tax need my bank account number for my 1099-int interest income?

This is only needed if you want to import the form 1099-Int from your bank. If you have the form in front of you then you can enter the information yourself. Please scroll down on the "Let's get your tax info. We’ll help you find and import info from your bank or financial institution" screen and click the "I'll type it in myself" button. Then you can enter the information from Form 1099-Int manually.
