Why does Turbo Tax ask a question about my adult son (household resident) and not my dependent, his health insurance. He can answer that on his own tax return.

Why does turbo tax ask a question about the months my adult son (not disabled and not my dependent, who lives with me.  He can answer that question on his own tax return

It sounds like you may have your adult son, entered into your return. He could have carried forward from a prior year or was added at some point to see if he would qualify, etc. 

To remove him, so that you won't be asked extra questions about him:, follow the steps below:

• Log into the software and select the blue button Take me to my return
• Select Personal Info from the top
• Then scroll down to the Dependents  section and you should see your son listed. Select Edit.
• On the next screen you should see him listed and can click Delete to remove him.
