If the dependent is under the age of 17 or a full time student under the age of 24, then you answered a question incorrectly concerning the dependent.
Delete the dependent and then re-enter. Carefully review each answer given when entering the dependent again.
You should not even be asked about their income if you have entered them correctly as a qualifying child. Either they have aged out, or you answered one of the other questions incorrectly. Try deleting them as a dependent and starting over.
If she is over the age of 16, you do not get the child tax credit. You get the $500 credit for other dependents. How old is she?
