Why does it say 2021 tax transmissions unavailable

Do you have a large number of imported stock or cryptocurrency transactions on your return?  If so, refer to the following Help Article for assistance:  How do I file my return when I see the Transmission Trouble screen?

If the above does not pertain to you, it's possible that you have Federal or State forms included in your return that are not yet ready for e-filing.  Refer to the Help Articles below to check when forms will be available:

• IRS forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products

• State forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products

Once your form becomes available, it should automatically update if you're using TurboTax Online.  In some cases, you may need to clear your browser's cache and cookies.  For the TurboTax CD/Download software, you will need to check for updates or update manually using the steps listed here.
