Why does it make me pay to deduct money from my taxes to pay turbo twice and then the state

I'm paying for the deluxe edition stay and federal and now it's charging me also to pay for it through my return why why does it charge me basically twice for the same thing

When you use online TurboTax there are always separate fees for the federal and state returns.   You are NOT required to pay the fees by having them deducted from your federal refund.  You can pay upfront using a credit or debit card before you file and avoid that EXTRA $40 refund processing fee.
