But I draw the line at starting an actual tax file...for that you should start over with a brand NEW tax file about the end of January
Why? In prior years there have been some fouled-up file-transfer issues that couldn't be removed without starting over. with a clean file....at some time after a bunch of the numerous bugs have been fixed. Some of these bugs aren't obvious and it takes some time for TTX to discover that they exist at all.
A 1 Feb start date is safer.

@burris52 This is not Customer Support...this is a Users Forum. some of us have complained about early releases before, but Marketing seems to have the upper hand, and they want to get a foothold before any other software manufacturers, even if the early versions are pretty-much useless.
