No one else can see your tax return. The usual reason for owing state tax due is that you did not have enough state tax withheld from your paychecks during the year. You say you amended your return---but have not told us what you changed when you amended. Provide some details.
If you filed an amended return and it now says you owe, it is likely because on your original return, you received a refund in an amount greater than what you were entitled to. So, say you originally received a refund of $1,000 but you should have only received $800, you would owe $200 to pay back what you shouldn't have received to start with.
Also, was your original return processed yet? If not, wait to pay the amount that the amended return says you owe until your original return is processed. The state may catch the error and make the adjustment for you. Once your original return is fully processed, if you originally received a refund, you can then use the refund you received to pay back the overpayment.
What exactly did you change with your amendment? Was your original return processed?
