Why do I need a 1040 form as opposed to 1040EZ? I only have W2s, interest, and a tuition statement.

Forms: 3 W2's, 1 1099-INT, 1 1098-T

The tuition statement is the reason - you can't use the 1040EZ to claim education deductions / credits.
