No one can see your screen or your tax return. We do not know why you owe tax to IL. The usual reason for owing the state is that you did not have enough state tax withheld from your income during the year. Check all of the amounts you entered for your W-2's, etc. paying special attention to boxes 15, 16, and 17. Look for extra zeros or misplaced decimals.

@rsmidnight i would also suggest comparing the Illinois return line for line 2021 with 2022 though you probably have to pay first to see the whole 2022 return. maybe something will stick out that doesn't seem correct.
