Why do I have to pay $60 to file with student loan payments?

I don't like that Turbotax is ripping people off by making me pay $60 for their Deluxe package to file my student loans. [profanity] you, I rather lose $60 than give it to you guys!

You do not have to take any deduction, your only obligation is to report all of your income.

So if you do not want to list the student loan interest don't do it.

Turbo tax asked me if I paid any student loan for my daughter. I replied yes, and more info was requested- 1098-E. my question is: can I use the form sent to her?
