Why did my city income tax not get filed? The system indicated it would be done with my state filing, and it appears the system just did not do it. ??

You have not said what city you are referring to. In general, city tax returns need to be printed and mailed. They cannot be e-filed.

Detroit is the city, but no matter on where. Why did the system not do my city income tax? As I was doing my other taxes for fed and state, it indicated it would do the Detroit one. If it did, as you imply, why can't I find it and print it? It seems your system is misleading in what it is or is not going to do. Will the system system be generating the return at least? I just need to know one way or the other.

You need to get back in to the Michigan state program in order to access the Detroit return. You will need to follow the instructions given in the software carefully.
