Why cant i submit my taxes without having to buy live deluxe? is there any way to opt out of live deluxe?

Your tax situation may require the upgraded deluxe version also the Live version does cost more than the regular deluxe version. You can downgrade your current TurboTax version with our clear and start over feature but you won't be able to use this if you've already registered, submitted payment or deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund. How to remove Turbo Tax Live.  There are 2 different ways to remove Live depending on how you added it
