Call your FA at Merrill.
Merrill Edge is missing from other tax software, like H&R Block, as well as from TurboTax. This must be something on Merrill's end.
I called them. They tell me that it is OK on their end. Please have your people contact their people. Merrill is not on your list of institutions when you search in the Desktop version.

Really? If that's the case how come Merrill Edge is missing from other tax prep software as well as TurboTax? These folks need to UNDERSTAND that we're not referring to being able to go online and download our 1099-Bs; we're talking about IMPORT into tax software.
This is a Merrill issue, as far as I'm concerned, and they need clients to tell them that. I'm sure the s/w developers would include Edge if they were able to do so.
I, as a customer, should not be stuck in the middle between TurboTax and Merrill. They say it is your fault, you say I should tell Merrill that it is their fault. I called them. They did not listen to me, you are not listening to me. You need to do the work to get MerrillEdge on your list, period.

I don't need to do anything because I'm NOT AN INTUIT EMPLOYEE!
And, YET AGAIN, this appears to be a Merrill issue based on the facts and circumstances. Intuit can't force Merrill to get their tax reporting docs properly formatted and ready to be added to their import list. In that regard, I think you must have missed the part where I wrote that H&R Block also does not have Merrill Edge listed in their import dropdown. Now who needs to call whom?
If Merrill can get their act together, I'm sure H&R Block and Intuit will add them to the list.
Try using the Bank of America feed. Since they now own Merrill Lynch, this may work. Please let us know if it does so that others will have a solution as well!
From TurboTax Desktop, I attempted to Import from Bank of America with my MerrillEdge login and password. No joy.

Yeah, that won't work unfortunately. Hopefully, Merrill is not discontinuing this service. I read a disturbing post on another board.
Thank you for taking the time to test that, @Mike_Y
it certainly worked last year (and for quite a few years before then as well), so odd that it's not working now....hopefully this is just temporary ?

Yes, it did and the "freak out: here is, I believe, generally because Intuit did not include Merrill Edge in the dropdown import list as they have done in years past.....HUGE mistake to make that change. Despite the fact that the 1099s aren't ready for import, users should be able to see and be assured that their firm is included in the list at the outset.
literally the ONLY reason i bought Turbotax was for the merril edge import ability, since the other Tax software (and even the Free tax websites) never do support it. So i didn't want to manually enter the info. If this becomes true that turbotax removed this key feature, i'll never use Turbotax again. I wonder if Costco would give me a refund....pretty bait & switch if it is true it's gone 😕
Logging in thru bank of America Does not access my Merrill TAX statements - only my Bank of America tax statement. All my 1099 forms including my 1099B have been available on ME for over a week.

Where are you going to go, exactly? I get the frustration, believe me, but no other DIY consumer-level tax prep program has Merrill Edge as an import partner other than H&R Block AND H&R Block ALSO does not currently list Merrill Edge in their import list. I suspect this may be a case of Merrill dragging its feet in terms of getting requisite information to the s/w providers.
