Why can't I find the place to click to enter my own 1099r information. Why does it keep taking me to the download when I said I want to enter or import from files?

My advice: give up trying to import it and just type it in.

In the search line enter some keywords or question without quotes. On the next page, skip the suggested topic links and scroll down until you see CALL US.  It should show the wait times.  Free support is not available to Free Edition users. You will have to upgrade to talk to a representative.

They push downloading/importing  however on the bottom of the second screen you can choose to "type it in myself" ... it only takes a minute to enter  it in yourself and then you know it is correct ... letting the program fetch the form can cause input errors.
