Why can't I enter state and federal W-2s?

Although you may get 3-4 copies of each W-2, they are all identical. You only need to enter the W-2 from each employer once.

State and federal tax are listed in each W-2. The federal tax portion is easy to find, but you have to scroll down the page to get to boxes 15-17, where you enter state tax information.

Every W-2 is taxed at the federal level. Only W-2s from states where you were physically present in that state while you were working are taxed by the state. You are also taxed on all your income by the state where you live, unless you live in one of the 11 states that doesn't have an income tax.
