You can't. If you are getting a rejection because someone else used the SSN on their return, taxpayer privacy laws prevent the IRS from telling you who that other person is. Print your return, sign it, and file by mail. The IRS will investigate the duplication. You may also want to take steps to protect your child from identity theft, like locking their credit report and getting an Identity Protection PIN from the IRS for future tax returns.
