Why can't I choose to not file a CT-1040?

Turbo tax seems intent on making me add info on a 1040 for claiming a property tax credit. I do not own a house and I do not want to try and get a credit for it.

       You can delete a form inside of return by clicking on My Account in upper right corner of screen and then click Tools and then click on the blue hyperlink that says Delete a form. Then just scroll down to the form that you wish to delete an click delete to the right of the form to remove it from your return.
