Why are my wages in box 1 different from wages in box 16? I worked in the same state all year and at only 1job.

Why are my wages in box 1 different from wages in box 16? I worked in the same state all year and at only 1job.
That is quite normal. The wages that are taxable for federal income tax purposes can be different than wages taxable for state income tax purposes. It depends on the state.
You may contact the Department of Revenue in your state to see what income is taxable.
