Why am I having trouble transferring 2024 return into 2025 on a MAC?

I did not password protect on encrypt my prior return and it has the correct file suffix

if you're having issue after doing aa new return, "Begin" and then trying to transfer the .tax2024 file - a lot of people report the "Continue" button just gets stuck - instead of starting a return that way, go to File / Open Tax Return and open the .tax2024 file, Turbotax will recognize it is from prior year and ask to transfer it into a new return, and this has usually worked cleanly.
